On March 18, C&D Optics Valley Industrial Services Co., Ltd., a joint venture between C&D Mechanical & Electrical Supply Chain Services Co., Ltd. under C&D Incorporation and Wuhan Optoelectronic Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., was officially opened.

Report has it that the company is registered in Wuhan East Lake Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, backed by Wuhan East Lake New Technology Industrial Development Zone, a national base for the optoelectronics industry known as the "Optics Valley of China". The new business of the company radiates more than 2,000 "professional, specialized, special and innovative" enterprises in East Lake High-tech Zone. In the future, the new company will rely on C&D's rich experience in operating the supply chain of mechanical and electrical equipment and the sound industrial technology incubation capability of Wuhan Industrial Institute for Optoelectronics, and give full play to the bonded policy advantage of East Lake Bonded Zone in Wuhan Free Trade Zone. With a focus on the trillion-yuan optoelectronics industry in the Optics Valley, it will be dedicated to equipment related to "light, chip, screen and intelligence", and build a supply chain service platform for the optoelectronics industry.
