On July 8 and 9, promotion events for the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) were held in Hong Kong and Macao respectively. The events invited the local business communities to attend the fair and highlighted the new opportunities presented by its expanded scale and upgraded programme. C&D Group was invited to attend, with a delegation led by General Manager Cheng Dongfang, who participated in business exchanges and showcased the Group’s business strengths.

At the Hong Kong promotion symposium, speeches were delivered by Yu Guangsheng, Deputy Director-General of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce; Lin Zhicheng, Vice Mayor of the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government; Loretta Lee, Assistant Director-General of Invest Hong Kong; and representatives from the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Associations. 

The speakers outlined the key highlights of this year’s upgraded CIFIT and the investment and cooperation opportunities it offers, while expressing a shared commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and promoting global development.

The thematic dialogue focused on two-way investment. Representatives from government, business and related organizations discussed topics including platforms supporting international expansion, financial services, industrial collaboration and new quality productive forces, sharing insights on development opportunities and exploring potential avenues for cooperation.

The leading enterprises exhibition area showcased the global presence and supply chain innovations of Xiamen State-owned Capital Operation Co., Ltd., together with three Fortune Global 500 companies — C&D Group, ITG Holding Group and XMXYG Corporation. The new quality productive forces exhibition area featured high-quality projects in technological innovation and emerging industries, while the Hailian Global Lounge provided a dedicated platform for cross-border exchanges and business matchmaking.

During the events, C&D Group met with business representatives to explore cooperation in supply chain services, capital markets, cross-border finance, culture and tourism, and conferences and exhibitions. The Group further strengthened these exchanges during subsequent meetings with representatives of the Hong Kong and Macao business communities.

According to the CIFIT Organizing Committee, the 26th CIFIT will be held at the Xiamen International Expo Center for the first time. With a total exhibition area of 200,000 square metres — nearly 70% larger than the previous edition — the fair will see a substantial increase in its overall scale and capacity.

As a flagship event under the “Invest in China” initiative, CIFIT has consistently been organized in line with international standards. This year’s fair will feature broader international participation, stronger engagement and an enhanced ability to bring together investment resources from around the world.
