Forging Global Connections, Achieving Win-Win Cooperation Xiamen Party Secretary Cui Yonghui Leads Delegation to Japan, Witnesses C&D Inc.-Hanwa Partnership

From March 2 to 8, Cui Yonghui, Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal CPC Committee, led a delegation on an official visit to Singapore and Japan. The mission aimed to implement Xi Jinping’s diplomatic vision and advance the key consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and the leaders of both nations. Leveraging Xiamen’s distinctive advantages, the delegation sought to expand high-level opening-up, boost investment and trade development, strengthen practical cooperation, and deepen cultural exchanges, thereby contributing Xiamen’s strength to China’s overarching diplomatic agenda.

During the visit, the delegation engaged with 16 multinational corporations and 4 trade and investment promotion agencies. Through intensive business negotiations and project matchmaking, a series of cooperative agreements were reached, culminating in multiple signed projects.

In Japan, Secretary Cui visited the Tokyo headquarters of Marubeni Corporation and the Osaka headquarters of Hanwa Co., Ltd. Witnessed by Secretary Cui and Hanwa’s Senior Advisor Hironari Furukawa, Zheng Yongda, General Manager of C&D Group, and Yoichi Nakagawa, President of Hanwa, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties pledged to enhance strategic coordination and deepen collaboration in global supply chain operations for bulk commodities.

Expanding into the Japanese market marks a critical step in C&D Inc.’s globalization strategy. In recent years, C&D Japan Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of C&D Inc., has forged multi-domain partnerships with enterprises across China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and RCEP member countries, focusing on consumer goods, energy and chemicals, minerals, steel, and agricultural products. The subsidiary has established a high-quality supply chain platform to facilitate international trade. Concurrently, as the "Xiamen Investment and Trade Service Hub in Japan," C&D Japan Inc. now serves as a new bridge connecting Xiamen enterprises entering Japan and Japanese businesses investing in Xiamen.
