On April 22, the 2023 Egret Island BNCT Technology Exchange Conference, hosted by Xiamen Humanity Hospital, was held in Xiamen. Experts and scholars from fields such as frontline BNCT clinical practice, drug research and development, and nuclear medicine gathered to discuss cutting-edge trends and hot topics in BNCT and look forward to the future development blueprint. The conference also invited the first patient treated at Xiamen Humanity Hospital to share their personal experience with BNCT treatment.

Under the backdrop of the "Healthy China" national strategy and the acceleration of the development of domestic high-end medical equipment during the 14th Five-Year Plan, BNCT technology has developed rapidly. Xiamen Humanity Hospital and Neuboron conducted human clinical research on accelerator-based BNCT (AB-BNCT) on October 9, 2022, filling the gap in China's AB-BNCT field. In the future, Xiamen Humanity Hospital will create a regional center for the tumor field featuring BNCT, benefiting patients while helping to enhance China's influence and competitiveness in the BNCT field.
