Recently, the 25th China University Basketball Association League (Fujian Grassroots Tournament) concluded with the men's basketball team of Xiamen Institute of Software and Technology taking the championship. They have won all seven of their games. This is the first time ever that a private university in Fujian Province has won the championship of the China University Basketball Association League (Fujian Grassroots Tournament).
The men's basketball team of Xiamen Institute of Software and Technology has been steadily improving since Lianfa Group assumed ownership of the school. After winning this championship, they will represent Fujian in the China University Basketball Association League National Tournament (Southeast Region).
